PERFORMANCE DATES - 18th to 27th July 2025 at San Anton Gardens
King Lear has decided to abdicate and divide his kingdom between his daughters. Things go wrong for Lear when his youngest daughter behaves differently from how he expected. In a rage, Lear disowns Cordelia. After this, he discovers that his other daughters aren’t as loving and obedient as he first thought…

Auditions for MADC’s production of William Shakespeare’s ‘KING LEAR’, directed by Chris Gatt in July 2025, will be held on Sunday 17th and Saturday 23rd November 2024 from 10am onwards at the MADC Clubrooms. To book your audition slot please send an email to info@madc.com.mt by Saturday 16th November, with the name of the role/s you are interested in auditioning for. You will then be forwarded a selection of audition pieces for you to select one from to memorise for the audition.
