RAPUNZELSTILTSKIN

Synopsis

The MADC spin 2 fairytails into one Panto this year, with Rupunzelstiltskin, at the MFCC

This Christmas, the MADC is going into panto overdrive with its most outrageous undertaking ever! Two of the most famous fairy tales of all time have been tangled up, intertwined and generally mixed together to give you RapunzelStiltskin – the greatest story of them all!

This is the story of the beautiful Rapunzel, a sparkling, bubbly girl, who ends up in big trouble because of her mum – the unrestrainable, uncontrollable, and slightly unhinged dame who has a unique talent for really, really putting her foot in it! Add to the mix a creepy Rumpelstiltskin, a funky fairy, a terrifying witch, Rapunzel’s BFF Fudd, a hip-hop heart-throb, a self-made lingerie tycoon and more henchpeople then you can shake a hairbrush at, and you can see why this is tale like no other!

Whilst keeping its yearly promise of being the most spectacular show on the island, not only will RapunzelStiltskin be jam-packed with surprises, but it will also see the MADC bringing back all of those traditional elements that make panto unique. Oh yes it will!

Written by Steve Hili and directed by the vastly experienced Steve Casaletto with musical direction by Paul Abela, vocal coaching by Roger Tirazona and choreography by Kristina Schranz, RapunzelStitlskin also features some of Malta’s finest actors including Jean Pierre Busutill as the Dame, Karen Decelis as Rapunzel; Luke Saydon as Rumplestiltskin; Katja Brauneis as Witch A Vili; Keith Zammit as Virtu Fairy; Daniel Chircop as the Prince; as well as Justin Mamo; Karl Cini; Dee Dee Clark; Joe Depasquale; Faye Micallef Grimaud and Leeann Vella as well as a spectacular chorus!

The set Design by Peter Howitt with costume Design by Ernest Camilleri and stage Manager Lino Malia.
