EVENTS - Playhouse Radio Theatre 2013

Saturday 2nd November 2013, 7.30pm has once again been earmarked for a Social Event. This year  Colin Willis is organising a Playhouse Radio Theatre evening where members and their friends may enjoy readings of scripts as performed on radio in the 1930s and 40s.

The Fruity Melodrama (a short send-up of melodrama) Poirot in New York Sherlock Holmes in the Casbach

The auditorium will become a radio studio/cabaret. The audience will be seated at tables and will have a free jug of sangria and a Maltese platter to sustain them. Wines and other drinks can be purchased from the bar. There will be cheerful audience participation, including community singing (panto style) and general enjoyment of advertising jingles of the period (remember Air Wick? Brylcreem?). There will be an interval to recover from the drama and to replenish supplies.
